Christmas Reading

2008-12-22

In past months I have been more and more behind on this blog. As an excuse or Christmas (or choose other holidays of your preference) gift please find links to articles that I have recently written.

IBM developerWorks recently published my article Avoid common XSLT mistakes. Originally this piece was intended as a blog entry to which I will point my students before finishing their XSLT exercises. I thought that then I will not have to explain them again and again what's wrong with their transformations. But you know—it was very hard to allocate some cycles to this task. But then for the first time in my life I have found LinkedIn useful—agency that prepares content for developerWorks contacted me. And few months later article is finished and published. Monetary stimulation works. ;–)

IT Professional journal published back in May my article From the Office Document Format Battlefield. Article explains history and essence of ODF and OOXML formats together with standardization efforts connected to them.

I'm not going to promise that I will post more frequently to this blog after New Year. As you can see on the picture bellow there is good excuse for this.

And yes, my son is sitting on a potty while I'm feeding daughter. There are more difficult things to grasp then W3C XML Schema. ;–D

Have a nice holidays and successful next year!
